About Virginia

Hey there!

My name’s Virginia Califano, and this is my blog. I decided to start blogging one day back in July of 2009 because I was bored, and I never thought it would ever be this important to me. What could possibly be better than me, a die-hard Yankees fan, writing and ranting and laughing and crying about my beloved Yankees? Not much.

I am currently a freshman at Marist College, though credit-wise I’m a sophomore. I hope to major in Communications with double-concentration in both Interactive Media and Sports Communications. I like so many other things, I don’t know what to minor in, though I’m leaning towards Philosophy. I’m a native New Yorker whose roots are in the Bronx, but I reside in the small town of Cold Spring, NY.

Aside from the Yankees, I am a huge music lover who has played the piano for over 10 years, and I’m now teaching myself guitar. I have a Washburn Wii66 Pro Q in a limited edition Tidal Blue color. My favorite band is Guns N’ Roses, so if any of you ladies out there have a “thing” for GNR’s Slash BACK OFF because he’sMINE! Just kidding…

The Yankees have always been a huge part of my life, and I can talk baseball all day if anyone would listen. Guess that’s what the blog is for!
